Terms and Conditions of Service
Company purpose
We specialize in advising clients on how to ship international packages to and from Colombia using the world’s most reputable carriers. We compare shipping rates, provide support with information required for customs clearance at the destination, and offer other services to ensure your package reaches its final destination.
As a logistics services company, we do not handle customs procedures at the point of departure from Colombia or arrival in the destination country.
We cannot oversee the conditions of transport because the shipping company manages the shipments and its personnel are not affiliated with our company.
Acceptance of the carriers’ policies and conditions
By contracting logistics services with Envíos Market, you agree to the policies and conditions of the carrier handling your shipment.
Each shipment is covered by a tracking number, which can be used to file a claim directly with the transport company.
Packaging and repackaging service for goods
Envíos Market provides packaging services for goods shipped from Colombia to other countries, ensuring proper protection and compliance with carrier policies. This process incurs additional costs that will be reflected on your electronic invoice.
By requesting a pickup or contracting our shipping service, you authorize us to inspect the goods being transported.
Air Waybill Review:
It is the responsibility of the service contracting party to review the air waybill to verify that the sender’s and recipient’s name, address, and telephone number are correct.
Any changes to the sender’s or recipient’s information after the package is in the carrier’s possession may incur a fee of USD 15 or its equivalent in Colombian pesos, which the customer must pay to submit the request to the carrier.
Withholding for administrative expenses
If for any reason the shipment fails to leave the country of origin and the carrier refunds the freight value, Envíos Market will retain 10% of the total value corresponding to administrative expenses.
Damages, losses and insurance
We have packaging materials to ensure your shipment travels protected under high packaging quality standards; however, we are not responsible for mistreatment by the carrier or customs inspections.
The packages can also be packed by the customer and in those cases there is no check of the contents or additional packaging unless requested in writing.
If the package is damaged, Envíos Market will assist with the claim process with the carrier. After filing a claim, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide all the documents requested by the carrier to complete the process.
If the customer does not provide the requested documents within 5 business days, the case will be considered closed by Envíos Market.
The carrier is responsible for the insured value of the shipment, which is the same value declared to customs. If the damage to the goods occurred during customs or security inspection, the carrier is not liable for the damages and will not provide any compensation.
If the customer wishes to insure a shipment at a specific value, they must expressly state this in writing through our customer service channels.
If the customer does not request insurance for the package, a minimum value of USD 10 will be assigned for the entire contents, and it will be understood that in case of damage or loss, this is the value for which the carrier will indemnify, and therefore it will be the value for which Envíos Market will recognize the merchandise.
If your package was delivered to the address indicated, Envíos Market and the carriers will not be responsible for events after delivery.
